Our Treatments

The Lister Surgicentre provides a range of planned treatments including:

Orthopaedics (bone health)

• Hip joint replacement surgery
• Knee joint replacement surgery
• Shoulder joint surgery

Day case and short stay surgery

• General surgery (minor operations)
• Gynaecology (female health)
• Head and neck

Ophthalmology (eye health)

These services are delivered in a new surgical facility which has:

• 6 new operating theatres
• 26 beds all with en-suite facilities, rooms are for one or two people (no one of the opposite sex will share)
• Pre-operative Assessment Clinic
• Dedicated Ophthalmology department
• Urgent Eye clinic

Our staff are highly trained and are mostly seconded from the NHS.  Your surgery will be carried out by General Medical Council (GMC) registered surgeons who already work in the NHS and you will be cared for by Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registered nurses. 

The Surgicentre adheres to the highest patient quality standards as required by the Care Quality Commission and the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.

Opening Hours  

The opening hours of the Surgicentre are from 07:00 to 20:00 Monday through Friday, 08:00 to 13:00 Saturday, and closed on Sunday.

Visiting Hours

Visiting hours are from 2.00pm to 4.00pm and from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.
