Outpatient Services

The Lister Surgicentre provides the following Outpatient Services: 

Pre and Post Surgery Appointments

Assessment appointments can take place in the Lister Surgicentre or  can be carried out over the telephone depending on the type of operation.  For more information see our Patient Guide to Pre-operative Assessment Service .

Physical and Occupational Therapy

A team that includes a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist and a nurse provide support and advice for patients coming to the Lister Surgicentre for  an operation.

The therapy service forms part of our Enhanced Recovery programme.  The team provides:

• A Pre-operative Therapy clinic
• Information on what to expect following an operation
• Instruction on how patients can contribute to their own recovery
